Bio y Fundraising Ideas

Bio:

Evan Sayre (Lead Audio, Producer) is known for diving head-first into his projects with a creative approach and extreme motivation. His experience reaches across many strains of audio; from on-set recording to organizing recording time for bands and all aspects of post-production. Instead of being content with just holding a microphone and standing still, Evan has worked very hard in positions such as Lead Audio ("Class of '98"), Audio Post ("White Roses"), and Boom Op for a ghost hunting TV pilot, "Legend Tripping." His passion for sound shows in his determination to make everything sound as good as it looks.

"I'm bringing back the art of audio with a vengence."

Fundraising Ideas:

-There are numerous spots in the script for product placement... the magazine being read on the bus, the iPod (or other willing-to-donate MP3 player) and the band that is being listened to on the MP3 player.
-Along with Adam's idea of news coverage, we could talk to local newspapers and magazines and on top of promotions and interviews, maybe we could could have them come by during the filming? I guess this is more promotion than fundraising...
-Monthly dues for everyone... I know this would really suck but it's what the other company I work with does because they are in the process of getting started. We're not in college anymore and most of us have decent jobs... if we can get just 10 people to throw in $10 a month, over the next 6 months, that's $600. Granted, we will probably spend some personal money on the movie during production, but every little bit counts, right? This could also help fund our test shoot to show to investors.
-eBay scams.
-We should read that book by Bruce Campbell, at least the chapter about how they funded Evil Dead. Sounded like a good idea when we discussed it at the meeting.

Speaking of meetings- when is the next?

Adam Caudill bio & Funraising ideas

Here is my bio. It will probably be revised before the press pack is finalized (like everything in the press pack)

Adam Caudill (Writer, Director, Producer) has a diverse breadth of experience that will aid him in the production of Afflicted. He produced Housemates, a seven episode web series with a cast and crew of 35. He has written and directed shorts in genres across the spectrum.
The productions he has worked on have been defined by two things, his passion for film making and his ambition for bigger and better final products. Both of these will fuel the production of Afflicted towards its chance of success.

also this is the list of ideas I had for fund raising:
- Contact distributors : sometimes you can pre-sell distribution, which could get us money but could also limit our distribution options.
- Website where anybody can invest: I think this is key, and we have to make it simple and seamless, also the video explaining the project and how investment works would do well here.
- The press pack: Already top priority.
- try and get some interviews/news coverage with horror movie fan sites. (perhaps market it as a fan funded film. and try and divert some traffic over to our website.)
- Look into grants
- Venture capitalist
- getting more traditional news coverage.
- Submit script to festivals and go shmooze at them.
- Loans
