New storyboad upload.

I've uploaded a storyboard to google docs. It's pretty basic, but seems like a good way to use a jumpcut to hide an effect. That way we only have to do the effect for one take, and can do all the acting beforehand in several.

Plus, testing the system.

More to come.

Columbus Film Commission

Columbus Film Commission website

Contains directories for studios, equipment rental, permits, local safety laws, etc. Amazing resource.

UPDATE:
Holy crap, look at this location! It's in Frederickstown, near Mansfield, halfway between Columbus and Akron. It's absolutely fucking perfect, and according to the website looks like something we could get.

Though this location website is separate form the Columbus Film Commision, the contact info is the head of the CFC, Gail Mezey. We really need to contact her, this office seems like an amazing resource.

More legal/business books

After clicking on the Amazon page for The Reel Truth, Amazon recommended the following. They're all highly rated by users.

The Art of Film Funding: Alternative Financing Concepts

Bankroll: A New Approach to Financing Feature Films

The Independent Film Producer's Survival Guide: A Business and Legal Sourcebook

UPDATE: Also this one: Contracts for the Film and Television Industry

I'm going to go sign up for a library card.

A test entry and things to come

First of all, did this get automatically emailed to you, Adam? Because it should have.

So as we move forward in production, this blog will be used for updates, meeting minutes, status reports, etc. We should make good use of the Labels feature. You can check the sidebar to see what other labels have been used, and if your entry deals with similar stuff, add the same label. otherwise make one up.

A new year now.

Wanted to make an update.

The following people have been invited to join the blog.
Katie Labovitz,
Santana Bobo,
Brian Baker,
Chris Triplette, and
John Spannhake

So hopefully they'll all join.

I hope to complete the press pack very soon, after which there will be loads to do. Let me know what you want to do.

I also would like to begin planning for a test scene, or trailer, to be shot this spring. If you have ideas for which scene would be good let me know. Feel free to leave comments about that. It needs to be a scene that gives a good feel for the movie but doesn't give away too much OR require too much prior knowledge of the plot.

Let me know.
Adam

p.s. The script: Unless an investor or a name actor prompts it, I do not expect any more revisions to the script. If you have notes on the script feel free to give them to me. I will store them and examine them again closer to shooting.
